Jakarta, MINE – PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) managed to record revenue of USD 1.4 billion or around IDR 23,464 trillion throughout 2025.

“Throughout 2025, MBMA demonstrated disciplined execution across all of our mining, processing and downstream development projects. MBMA recorded unaudited revenues throughout 2025 of around USD 1.4 billion,” said MBMA President Director, Teddy Oetomo in an official statement, Tuesday (3/2).

Teddy said that this achievement shows the resilience of financial performance amidst weakening nickel prices, which is supported by higher production volumes, increased productivity and increased downstream integration.

In mining activities, the PT Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (“SCM”) nickel mine recorded strong growth with production of 7.0 million wet metric tonnes (“wmt”) saprolite (+42% YoY) and 14.7 million wmt limonite (+45% YoY) throughout the 2025 financial year. This performance was driven by increasing mining productivity, expanding fleet capacity, and optimizing logistics.

Despite increases in royalties and fuel costs related to the B40 policy, costs remained well controlled thanks to stronger productivity and higher production volumes. Limonite operations continue to generate stable margins, reflecting operational efficiencies and scale benefits.

Nickel Pig Iron (“NPI”) reached 73,871 tonnes of nickel for the 2025 financial year, in line with guidance, despite planned furnace maintenance. Margins increased on an annual basis, supported by lower costs and increased internal ore supplies.

MBMA resumes production High-Grade Nickel Matte (“HGNM”) in October 2025 after obtaining the agreement offtake which is economical, with total production of 19,998 tons throughout 2025. Despite lower production volumes on an annual basis, increased cost efficiency results in significant margin recovery in 2025.

“In the fourth quarter, MBMA also recorded strong operational performance while advancing main infrastructure and HPAL development which will drive the next phase of growth,” added Teddy.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to building a tough, integrated and responsible battery raw material value chain to support Indonesia’s strategic role in the global energy transition and provide long-term, sustainable value for shareholders, society and all stakeholders,” he concluded.
