Jakarta, MINE – PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) reaffirmed its commitment to the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) culture by winning a prestigious award at the 2026 WSO Indonesia Safety Culture Award (WISCA). In the agenda held at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, the mining contractor company successfully took home the Gold Level 4 award for implementing safety culture as well as the Top Emergency Response Team award.

This achievement extends PPA’s track record in strengthening work safety culture in the national mining sector. Previously, the company was also recorded as winning similar awards at WISCA 2023 and WISCA 2024.

For PPA, K3 implementation is no longer positioned simply as a regulatory obligation, but has become the main foundation in company operations. Through the “Safe & Strong Operational Performance” approach, safety culture is internalized throughout all lines of work, from management level to field operations.

In the CEO Talks session which is part of the WISCA 2026 series of events, Joko emphasized that work safety is a company investment that has no budget limit. According to him, accelerating the achievement of safety targets in operational areas can only be realized through full management commitment, shareholder support, a healthy work culture, and an evaluation system that continues to develop.

He also highlighted the importance of involving all stakeholders in building a sustainable safety culture, including workers and company partners. This approach is considered to be an important factor in maintaining consistent safety performance in the PPA operational environment.

This year, dozens of companies from the mining, energy, construction and oil and gas sectors also received similar awards from the World Safety Organization (WSO) Indonesia.

The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower in the forum also emphasized that strengthening work systems and safety culture are important elements in supporting the creation of a more resilient national industrial ecosystem towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.

Through this achievement, PPA confirms its commitment to continue to strengthen the integration of K3 culture in all company operational areas. This focus is not only directed at operational compliance, but also as a form of protection for workers and the sustainability of the national mining business.
