KPP MINING Working on IATA Coal Mine Worth IDR 5 Trillion in Musi Banyuasin

Jakarta, MINE – Mining contractor PT Kalimantan Prima Persada (KPP MINING) officially works on the coal mine owned by PT MNC Energy Investments Tbk (IATA) through its subsidiary, PT Arthaco Prima Energy (APE).

The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out on Tuesday, December 23 2025, at iNews Tower, Jakarta. This agreement was signed by IATA Main Director Suryo Eko Hadianto, IATA Leader Director DS Daeli, KPP Mining President Director Wahyu Widaryanto, and KPP Mining Director Tutut Rahendro.

The scope of cooperation includes coal mining services and overburden stripping activities (waste removal).

“This collaboration is a concrete manifestation of IATA in strengthening operations, increasing effectiveness and efficiency, and maximizing the scale of coal production through the Arthaco Prima Energy IUP which has entered the commercial production phase,” explained IATA President Director, Suryo Eko Hadianto.

“Through strategic collaboration with leading mining industry players, we are confident that IATA’s operational performance can be more optimal, sustainable and add value,” he added.

Meanwhile, President Director of KPP MINING, Wahyu Widaryanto stated that his party is committed to providing reliable and integrated mining services. This collaboration adds strategic value to the company in expanding its project portfolio, while optimizing KPP MINING’s operational capabilities.

“We always uphold operational excellence through implementing high safety standards, sustainable mining practices, and developing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships,” said Wahyu.

This agreement has a term of 5 years, starting from January 2026, with a contract value of IDR 5 trillion, where KPP MINING will act as a mining services contractor in the APE Production Operation Mining Business License (IUP-OP) area located in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra.

During the contract period, the coal production target is set at 33.6 million metric tons (MT), with a production target in the first year (2026) of 3 million MT, or with the total volume of material to be managed during the cooperation period reaching 140.9 million bank cubic meters (BCM).
