Jakarta, MINE – PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) succeeded in obtaining a contract extension from PT Arutmin Indonesia (Arutmin) with a value of IDR 10.5 trillion. The contract extension agreement was signed on Monday, January 19 2026.
Through this contract, DEWA will continue working on the coal mining project at the Kintap and Asam Asam sites located in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan.
“Signing of Contract Extension Agreement between PT Darma Henwa Tbk (Company) and PT Arutmin Indonesia (Arutmin) on the Kintap mining project and Asam Asam Mining Project,” explained DEWA Director, Mukson Arif Rosyidi, quoted in the information disclosure, Tuesday (20/1).
In this new contract, DEWA projects an overburden volume of 252 million bcm and coal production of 50 million tons throughout the mine’s operational period (life of mine).
“The signing of the Life of Mine Contract Extension Agreement provides long-term certainty for the Company’s operational activities and has a positive impact on the Company’s performance and financial condition,” added Mukson.
Mukson explained that in the previous contract, DEWA recorded overburden production at the Asam Asam site reaching an average of 17.3 million bcm, with coal production of around 3.8 million tons per year.
Meanwhile, at the Kintap site, the mining services issuer belonging to the Bakrie Group recorded an average overburden volume of 25.3 million bcm and coal production reached 3.8 million tons per year.
