PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) recorded an increase in coal production in the first quarter of 2026. The company produced 19.2 million tons of coal, growing 12% compared to the same period the previous year which reached 17.2 million tons.

“Production and sales volumes were recorded to be higher on an annual basis, with coal production increasing 12% to 19.2 million tonnes and coal sales increasing 14% to 19.1 million tonnes,” said BUMI Management in an official statement, quoted on Tuesday (5/5).

The increase also occurred in the sales segment which was recorded at 19.1 million tons. This figure increased by 14% compared to the same period in 2025 which reached 16.7 million tonnes.

The average selling price (FOB) was recorded to have fallen by around 10% to US$58.6 per ton from the previous US$64.9 per ton.
