Jakarta, MINE — Two subsidiaries of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), PT Arutmin Indonesia (Arutmin) and PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) succeeded in winning prestigious awards at the 2025 Subroto Award event.
The Subroto Award is the highest form of appreciation from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for companies that have made extraordinary contributions in the energy and mineral resources sector. The event took place at the Grand Ballroom of the Kempinski Hotel Jakarta, on Friday (24/10).
Arutmin received the 2025 Subroto Award thanks to the Asa Mandiri Inclusion Program initiated by Arutmin North Pulau Laut Coal Terminal (NPLCT) in Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan.
This program is a concrete form of Arutmin’s commitment to creating a positive impact on the surrounding community by increasing access to education that is inclusive, equal and sustainable.
In its implementation, the Asa Mandiri Inclusion Program succeeded in reaching people who have children with special needs by providing therapy and educational services for dozens of children. Apart from that, this program also encourages the formation of inclusive micro business networks that are integrated with Arutmin’s MSMEs.
Synergy between the community, local government and educational institutions is the key to the success of this program in creating an inclusive environment, encouraging independence for people with disabilities, and expanding access to inclusive education in Kotabaru Regency.
Arutmin CEO Ido Hutabarat said that this award was clear evidence of Arutmin’s dedication to maintaining quality, environmental sustainability and social responsibility in every company activity. This success is inseparable from the implementation of various holistic and collaborative programs carried out by the Arutmin NPLCT team, ranging from stunting prevention, pre-marital education, assisting pregnant women, developing inclusive education, to empowering disabled communities.
“This program is the reason Arutmin won the Subroto Cup again for two years in a row, as a result of the creativity and hard work of the Arutmin NPLCT team. We hope that this achievement can inspire other companies to continue to contribute to realizing sustainable development,” said Ido in an official statement, Tuesday (4/11).
Meanwhile, KPC won the 2025 Subroto Award in the field of State Property Management for its excellence in managing state assets (BMN) in a transparent, accountable and sustainable manner, as well as compliance with BMN management obtained during the PKP2B period in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations.
The award was handed over to Muhammad Rudy, CEO of PT Kaltim Prima Coal, by Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Yuliot Tanjung, and witnessed directly by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.
“Good management of state assets is a responsibility that we uphold because it reflects our commitment to transparency, efficiency and accountability in managing BMN,” said KPC CEO, Muhammad Rudy.
“This award is a motivation for us to continue to improve compliance standards and operational integrity, ensuring that the resources entrusted to us can provide real benefits for the nation,” he added.
