Jakarta, MINE – Not all champions are born on the podium. Some are forged from sweat, discipline, and enthusiasm to continue learning. Like Panji, a mining operator who is now a teacher at the Mining Academy PT. Cipta Kridatama (CK) is clear proof that the true winning spirit is about how one person grows others.

When he first joined CK, Panji worked as a grader operator in the Operations department. Every day, he is faced with a mining field that demands precision, physical strength and high discipline. However, behind his helmet and mining uniform, Panji has great determination to continue learning and developing.

This opportunity came when he took part in the Cipta Kridatama 2025 Best of the Best (BOTB) event, an annual program that provides a platform for CK employees to demonstrate their best competencies while honing their leadership skills. Now, Panji no longer only operates heavy equipment in the field. He has risen to new heights as an operator trainer at CK Mining Academy, mentoring more than 80 operators from various sites.

“This activity really changed my life. It built my mentality, taught me discipline, leadership, and made me learn to work together. The most impressive thing for me was being able to share knowledge with other colleagues,” he added.

This consistency is reflected in ABM’s training achievements in 2024 which reached 170,392 hours of training with an average of 14.47 hours per employee per year. This figure shows that competency development is not just an annual program, but part of the company culture.

For CK himself, Best of the Best is not just an awards event. In the midst of fluctuating coal prices and operational efficiency challenges, CK views HR as the main key to business sustainability.
