GR Engineering says it has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Northparkes Mining Services Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Evolution Mining Limited, for the Northparkes Coarse Particle Flotation project.
The project is located 300 km west of Sydney, New South Wales. The upgrade of the existing plant is expected to provide an increase in copper recovery and will improve energy efficiency. The contract value is A$68 million ($48 million) and early works have commenced. The project will be executed by GR Engineering’s Brisbane team.
Tony Patrizi, Managing Director, said: “GR Engineering is pleased to be working again with Evolution Mining, following the successful completion of the Mungari Mill Expansion Project in 2025. GR Engineering’s well-established Brisbane office will execute this project, following on from their recent successful completion of a large gold EPC project.
“We see this contract award as a strong endorsement of GR Engineering’s proven process design record and EPC delivery capability.”
Commissioning is expected to be completed in the second half of the 2028 financial year.
