Jakarta, MINE – PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (Ceria) succeeded in winning the Green PROPER award from the Ministry of the Environment (KLH) for the 2024–2025 period on Tuesday, April 7 2026. This award is the first to be received by this integrated nickel mining company.

President Director of PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama, Abdul Haris Tatang, expressed his gratitude for this achievement. He hopes that this achievement can be a trigger for Ceria to continue to improve its environmental performance in a sustainable manner and provide wider benefits for society and the environment.

“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for achieving Green PROPER for the first time for Ceria. This is the result of the hard work of all company people in maintaining a balance between operations and environmental sustainability,” he said.

In line with this, the Head of Mining Engineering at PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama, Alpi Cekdin, emphasized that this success cannot be separated from the implementation of integrated sustainability principles in all operational lines.

Ceria consistently implements Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and ensures Health, Safety and Environmental (K3L) aspects run optimally through the Mining Safety Management System (SMKP) in accordance with applicable regulations.

“Various initiatives such as energy efficiency, emission reduction, responsible waste management and biodiversity protection are an important part of our efforts to achieve optimal environmental performance,” he explained.

In the future, Ceria will continue to strengthen the company’s environmental and operational performance through continuous innovation, optimizing environmentally friendly technology, as well as strengthening corporate governance that is responsible and adaptive to future challenges.

“We interpret this Green PROPER achievement as a starting point to move further. Ceria will continue to improve environmental and operational management standards on an ongoing basis, so that it can provide greater added value for the nation and the national mining industry,” concluded Abdul Haris Tatang.

Meanwhile, the Minister of the Environment/Head of the Environmental Control Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, also expressed his appreciation to the companies participating in PROPER, including Ceria. He emphasized that Green PROPER reflects the real contribution of the business world in protecting the environment.

“To companies with a Green rating, we appreciate the beyond compliance efforts which have provided real benefits for the ecosystem and surrounding communities,” he added.

Special.

This achievement is proof that Ceria not only meets environmental compliance standards, but also exceeds them through various innovations, ranging from energy efficiency, emission reduction, sustainable waste management, to biodiversity conservation.

This achievement is also an important and historic milestone for Ceria, because it is the first time obtaining Green PROPER after previously achieving Blue PROPER for six consecutive years since 2018.

The increase in ranking reflects the increasingly progressive and sustainable transformation of the company’s environmental performance. This also strengthens Ceria’s position as a 100% Domestic Investment (PMDN) nickel mining and processing company created by the nation’s children that prioritizes responsible operational practices.

For information, PROPER (Company Performance Rating Assessment Program in Environmental Management) is one of the government policy instruments to encourage improvements in company environmental management performance in accordance with statutory regulations.

Apart from that, PROPER is also a form of transparency and democratization in environmental management in Indonesia, by prioritizing good governance principles such as transparency, justice, accountability and community involvement.
