Jakarta, MINE – PT Merdeka Copper Gold, Tbk (MDKA) subsidiary, PT Merdeka Battery Materials, Tbk (MBMA) posted revenues of USD 1.435 billion or around IDR 24.395 trillion (Exchange rate of IDR 17,000 per USD).
Meanwhile, the company’s EBITDA is USD219 million or around IDR 3.723 trillion in 2025.
This achievement was supported by an increase in nickel production volume as well as a solid contribution from downstream operations. This performance reflects the Company’s operational resilience in facing commodity market dynamics.
“MBMA posted revenues of around USD 1.435 billion and EBITDA of USD 219 million in FY2025, supported by increased nickel production volumes and solid contributions from downstream operations. This performance reflects the Company’s operational resilience in facing commodity market dynamics,” said Management in an official statement, quoted on Wednesday (1/4).
MBMA recorded strong operational progress throughout the integrated nickel value chain throughout 2025. The Sulawesi Cahaya Mineral (SCM) nickel mine was one of the main drivers with a significant increase in production volume, supported by optimized productivity and operational efficiency.
“Total saprolite ore production reached 7.0 million wet metric tons (wmt) and limonite amounting to 14.7 million wmt which supports raw material needs for the Company’s downstream facilities and strengthens operational integration,” he added.
On the downstream side, the Company continues to develop processing capacity to increase added value. The Company’s downstream operations managed to increase margins on an annual basis, supported by lower production costs and increased internal ore supplies.
Production Nickel Pig Iron (NPI) amounted to 73,871 tons, while production High-Grade Nickel Matte (HGNM) reached around 19,998 tons. Project development High Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) also shows positive progress, with production Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate (MHP) of around 25,994 tons.
Additionally, Project Acid Iron Metal (AIM) operated by PT Merdeka Tsingshan Indonesia (MTI), a subsidiary of MBMA, the four fully integrated processing facilities continue to show constructive development and are on track to achieve full production.
In the midst of weakening global nickel prices throughout 2025, MBMA succeeded in maintaining resilient performance through a combination of increasing volume, operational efficiency, and optimizing value chain integration from mining to downstream products.
“The company is also disciplined in managing its cost structure amidst increasing operational costs, including the impact of implementing the biodiesel fuel policy and adjusting royalty rates,” he concluded.
