The Bakrie Group mining issuer, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) succeeded in producing 74.8 million metric tons of coal throughout 2025.

Jakarta, MINE – PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) recorded relatively stable operational performance throughout 2025 with coal production reaching 74.8 million metric tons. This figure slightly increased by 0.2% compared to actual production in 2024.

This increase in production shows the company’s efforts to maintain output levels amidst the dynamics of the global coal industry.

However, from the sales side, BUMI recorded a decline. Coal sales volume throughout 2025 was recorded at 74.6 million metric tons, or down around 2% compared to the previous year.

The guidance for coal sales in 2026 is projected to be around 76-78 million metric tons. “Bumi Resources remains committed to maintaining operational efficiency, strengthening supply chain resilience, and supporting diversification strategies to strengthen its long-term business portfolio,” explained Management in an official statement, Monday (30/3).

In the midst of these conditions, the company continued to record positive financial performance. BUMI recorded a net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity of USD81.0 million or the equivalent of IDR 1.376 trillion (exchange rate of IDR 16,996 per US dollar), an increase of 20.1% compared to 2024 which was USD67.5 million.

Overall, consolidated net profit reached USD122.3 million or equivalent to IDR 2.078 trillion, an increase of 48% compared to the previous year.

Meanwhile, the company’s revenue was recorded at USD1,242.8 million.

This performance reflects the company’s strategy in maintaining a balance between production and market demand, amidst price fluctuations and conditions in the global coal industry.
