Citing rising operational and supply chain costs, and global trade challenges, Volvo Construction Equipment (CE) is closing its Rokbak line of articulated haulers based in Motherwell, Scotland. Volve CE acquired Terex Trucks in June 2014 for $160 million and rebranded the line as Rokbak in 2021. The company said production of Rokbak articulated haulers is expected to cease during H2 2026, subject to a consultation process.
Volve CE said customers and dealers will continue to receive aftermarket services support throughout the transition and into the future. A core Rokbak team will remain in place to deliver aftermarket services, including parts, sales, technical support and training.
