Jakarta, TAMBANG,-PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI) through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program held MSME Capacity Building Training. This time it was carried out in the Viral Bagek Kembar Beach Tourism Area, Tanjung Karang Permai Village, Sekarbela District, Mataram City, NTB.
As is known, Bagek Kembar Beach is known as a coastal tourist destination with panoramic sunset views and views of the Lombok PLTMG Jetty at night. Increasing tourist visits, especially the younger generation, opens up economic opportunities for local MSMEs. For this reason, it is necessary to strengthen capacity so that the products produced have competitiveness, legality and standardized quality.
The training, which was held for two days at the Taman Plaza Meeting Hall, Barito Environment, covered material on MSME policy and food legality, intellectual property protection, digital marketing strategies based on TikTok and Facebook, and direct practice in making contemporary foods such as corn dogs which are popular with generation Z.
This activity involves the Mataram City UKM Cooperative Industry Service, Mataram City Tourism Office, UIN Mataram Academics, MSME practitioners, sub-district and sub-district governments, POKDARWIS, and regional officials
PLN EPI Corporate Secretary, Mamit Setiawan, said that this program is designed so that the community becomes the main actor in the tourism economic chain.
“We want coastal MSMEs to grow more professional, adaptive to digital trends, and able to increase income in a sustainable manner,” he said.
The Head of Sekarbela Subdistrict, Diks Arief Satriawan, S. STP, also appreciated the implementation of this activity and assessed that this training had a positive impact on the community.
“We welcome PLN EPI’s support in developing MSMEs in our region. Collaboration between companies, government and communities is very important to encourage sustainable local economic growth,” he said.
One of the training participants, Rusnayati, a food entrepreneur at Bagek Kembar Beach, admitted that she had gained new insights.
“We know how to manage business legality and market products via TikTok videos to make them more attractive. We can also sell contemporary menus straight away,” he said.
This training is part of the company’s commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and contributes to TPB (Sustainable Development Goals) or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8 related to Decent Work and Economic Growth.
PLN EPI not only improves the technical skills of MSMEs, but also strengthens the image of Bagek Kembar Beach as a safe, clean, orderly and tourist-friendly destination according to the Sapta Pesona concept.
This program is proof that the presence of PLN EPI in operational areas not only provides energy, but also encourages sustainable economic independence for coastal communities.
For PLN EPI, energy is not just about supply but about bringing added value and a more prosperous future for society.
