Jakarta, TAMBANG, – The spirit of building a culture of occupational safety and health (K3) continues to be echoed by PT TIMAH Tbk. In the momentum of the National K3 Month Grand Ceremony in 2026 which was held in the Kundur operational area, PT TIMAH Tbk gave awards to employees and work partners who excelled in implementing K3.

Apart from that, PT TIMAH Tbk also handed over prizes to the winners of the National K3 Month competition which was previously held in Pangkalpinang and Kundur Area Division on 27-30 January 2026. Meanwhile, the K3 Month Grand Ceremony was held on Monday (9/2) as the culmination of a series of activities commemorating National K3 Month.

This award was handed over directly by the President Director of PT TIMAH Tbk Restu Widiyantoro to the award recipients. On this occasion, Restu also continued to remind employees to be committed to implementing K3 Culture throughout the company.

This activity is a form of appreciation and motivation for all company personnel to make K3 a daily work culture, not just an administrative obligation. Through a participatory and competitive approach, PT TIMAH Tbk encourages active involvement of each work unit in creating a safe, healthy and productive work environment.

As a form of appreciation, PT TIMAH Tbk awarded appreciation in nine categories, namely Best SCM Directorate, Best SMKP Implementation, Best Subsidiary, Best Hiperkes Performance, Favorite Hiperkes Performance, Best PJO, Healthy Timah People, Most Observation Reporting Personnel (Mandatory), and Best Observation Reporting Personnel (Voluntary).

This award is given to work units and individuals who are considered to consistently demonstrate commitment, compliance and real contributions in supporting the implementation of mining safety and occupational health management systems.

One of the recipients of the Healthy Tin People award in the category of Women Under 40 Years, Indah Hapriyani from the Belitung Area Division, emphasized that safety must be a top priority, especially in the mining industry which has a high level of risk.

“Safety is something we cannot negotiate, especially in PT TIMAH Tbk’s high-risk work environment. We must continue to prioritize safety in every job. If there is a potential danger, it is better to stop first to repair it before continuing,” he said.

He also shares tips for maintaining health so that he remains productive at work. According to him, a healthy lifestyle is an important foundation to support performance.

“Thank God I was able to get the Healthy Tin People award. I believe that if our bodies are healthy, we can automatically do our work well and quickly. Currently I am practicing intermittent fasting with certain eating windows. Healthy lifestyles such as consuming real food need to be encouraged among employees,” he said.

Eddy, an employee of the Kundur Area HSSE Division who was part of the winning Timah team, said the same thing Fire and Rescue Challenge. He believes that implementing K3 culture must become a habit in daily activities, especially for emergency response teams.

“For me, work safety is number one. We must apply the K3 culture every day, especially for those of us who serve as the PT TIMAH Tbk firefighting team,” he said.

Eddy added that his team is also active in providing education to the community around the Kundur operational area.

“We routinely provide training and education, from PAUD children to the general public, so that everyone understands the basic ways to save themselves during an emergency,” he said.

Through this series of National K3 Month activities, PT TIMAH Tbk emphasizes its commitment to continue to strengthen safety culture as the foundation of company operations.

With the collaboration of all employees and work partners, the company hopes to create a work environment that is increasingly reliable, productive and free from fatal accidents, in line with efforts to realize sustainable mining.
